Booking & Availability
Can I get married on a Friday or Sunday if Saturday is already booked?
Yes! We allow early access to the barn to ensure ample time for setup between weddings. We will also coordinate with you to schedule your rehearsal.
Do you host mid-week weddings?
Yes! We offer Intimate Weddings & Elopements from Monday to Thursday. Details can be found under our Packages section.
Catering & Bar
Is catering included in the package price?
No, but we offer an in-house catering package. You are also welcome to bring in your own caterer. Visit our Packages page for details.
Alcohol—what is allowed?
- All beverages must be purchased through Weatherwood Ranch. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited and will be confiscated.
- Alberta Liquor & Gaming regulations apply.
- All alcohol must be served by a Weatherwood Ranch staff member (bartenders are included in the packages).
- If you have specific alcohol requests, they must be arranged at least two weeks prior to your event.
Does Weatherwood Ranch supply glasses for the bar?
Yes, we offer a full-service bar with glassware to suit your event’s needs.
Setup & Venue Access
Can we decorate the venue the day before?
Decorating access is typically on the day of your event. However, early access may be available depending on the schedule—please inquire for details.
Is setup and cleanup included?
Yes! Our team handles basic setup and takedown of tables and chairs. Additional services can be arranged for custom setups.
Are candles allowed?
Due to the barn being made of 100% reclaimed wood, we have a strict no open flame policy. Battery-operated candles are permitted.
Venue & Capacity
What is the maximum capacity?
- Indoor: 150 guests
- Outdoor: Weddings can be held outdoors and can accommodate many more guests, but all dances must move inside to respect our neighbours.
- Patio: 8,000 sq. ft. with two fire tables and ambient lighting.
Is the barn heated and air-conditioned?
Yes, our venue is fully climate-controlled and available for year-round rentals.
Do you have bathrooms?
Yes, we have beautiful indoor restrooms for your convenience.
Do you have a kitchen?
Yes, we have a fully equipped kitchen with all necessary appliances for catering large events.
Payments & Policies
What is the deposit?
A $2,000 non-refundable deposit, non-transferable deposit is required to secure your date.
What is the payment schedule?
- 50% of the balance is due 9 months prior to your event.
- The remaining balance + a $5,000 security deposit is due 3 months prior to your event.
- Late payments are subject to a penalty fee.
Can I cancel my event?
Yes, but our cancellation policy (outlined in the contract) will be enforced. The $2,000 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Do I need PAL Insurance?
Yes, you will need PAL insurance and name
the Weatherwood Ranch Inc. under the policy. You can purchase PAL insurance HERE
Additional Services & Accommodations
Is there camping on-site?
Camping is permitted for the wedding party only.
Are there nearby accommodations for guests?
Yes! Stony Plain is just 5 minutes away and offers a variety of lodging options. We can also assist in arranging a shuttle service for your guests.
Can we bring our own vendors?
Absolutely! We want your day to be exactly how you envisioned it.
How far are you from Edmonton?
- 25 minutes from Edmonton
